I just said my goodbye,
Guess it doesn't matter if i said it
Your body was already cold
Desperately we tried to warm it

Sprawled, i saw you lying on the ground
Shouting was the first thing i could think about
As I put my hand on your lifeless side
I hoped to feel your heart beat inside

I know that you waited for us to come back
To say goodbye to us as much as you wanted
I knew it hurt you and just like that
Your eyes lay half closed as you departed

As i kiss your forehead one last time
Tell you to behave like you're going away
I know that you'll always cross my mind
Somehow, i hope it forever stays that way.
